How The Process Works

Getting Started

Send me an email at lindymcallahan@gmail.com In your email, tell me a little bit about your business and give me a general idea of what you are looking for.

You will get an email from me within one day, providing additional information and making arrangements for a complimentary consultation. The consultation can be in-person if you are in the Bend, Oregon area, or via phone, Skype or FaceTime. Whatever works best for you.

During the consult we will talk about the project details and I will give you recommendations based on your business’s specific needs. At the end of our conversation, after we have decided on the services that you are interested in as well as the length and scope of the project,  I will give you a quote. From there, I will send you a contract. Once the contract is signed I will get right to work on the project.


Stages of The Copywriting Process

Stage 1 Background Material Gathering – I will send you a list of questions about your brand and business. I will also ask for any materials you have that might be helpful to the project. Depending on the project, this will include things like existing brand content or prior advertising material.

Stage 2 Research and Interviews – Any necessary research will be done at this time. This is all on my end. An interview with you or other’s involved with the business (always with your consent first) may be required.

Stage 3 Drafting – After all of the research and background material have been gathered, I will begin writing and developing your brand content.

Stage 3 Editing –  This is all reading, re-writing and formatting. I do this until I feel like all of the content is pure gold.

Stage 4 Submission – Once the content is so flawless that it shines, I will send you a copy in a shared Google Doc. You can then take a look and let me know if there is anything that you would like changed. If there is anything you want changed, I do provide free edits.

Once everything is exactly how you want it to be and the final payment has been received, I will send you everything in a beautiful Word Doc. This will include an overview of everything that we went over in our consultation along with 1-2 complimentary suggestions for upcoming content marketing.


My Rates

I charge $40 per hour for a la carte services. Packaged and long-term services are provided at a lower rate.

I offer complimentary 30-minute consultations to new clients, and happily provide a quote based on each project before any contracts need to be signed.

Some projects, depending on size and/or scope will require a deposit.

**Just a note on my copywriting services: Writing is a skill. It is something all businesses need in some form, and not something that everyone knows how to do well. From formatting and grammar to word choice and tone, it is a developed and carefully honed skill. What you are investing in when you work with me isn’t only my writing talent and knowledge, but also the customer service, delivery, time spent revising and in-depth research that I provide.
