I wanted to keep this summer’s list on the short side to leave some room for new books that might catch my eye. It is my
last (carefree) list before starting grad school in the fall. Although I’ll still have some control over what I’ll be reading in conjunction with my writing projects, I know it won’t feel quite the same. So, I’ll definitely be savoring every page.
Driving Home: An American Journey by Jonathan Raban
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Travels with Myself and Another by Martha Gellhorn
The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff
Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter
I don’t write book reviews on the blog, but I do comment on my favorite passages and regularly do updates on my progress here.
